Is Wpromote the best search engine optimization ?

A friend of mine told me to use wpromote to advertise my website so that l can be listed on the search engine. Is wpromote the best company for this service? If not, could you please tell me which company will work best for online shopping mall. Thanks for all your opinion.

  1. At $100 a month just to submit your site and $1,000 for PPC? They'd better be good! Good grief - I can't believe they charge that much.

I wish you would have told us the URL of your site - that would make it easier to tell what you really need.

But in the absence of that information, I'd say the question is, "What do you really want?"

If you have a site up and running and just want someone to help you promote it, I suggest you look for a local SEO specialist. Search for "your town SEO". The one that comes up at the top of the search engine is the one who knows how to use that engine one way or another and they should do a good job for you.

It's expensive though - although I doubt a basic job would cost you $100 a month forever. More likely $500 a month for 3 months or so. By that time you should have enough information to continue the job yourself in the future. In the long term this could be a better option.

It also has the benefit of letting you work with real people who are accountable rather than some faceless online customer service department.

If you prefer to do the job yourself or if you don't have a site up and running yet I'd suggest you go here: http://www.internet-business-detective.com/free-business-courses.html and get one of the free courses that will show you how to do the job yourself.

Good luck with it whatever you decide.

  2. I'd have to say the "best" company for website promotion is the one you trust the most. Working with a SEO individual (either locally or virtually) can help you understand all the options available and choose the ones most appropriate for your website.

Wpromote appears to do a lot of business, but in my opinion they are way overpriced for what they actually offer.

It is not necessary to pay for inclusion into major search engines - most websites are found and indexed by the search engines themselves, and anyone can submit a URL for consideration (for free) by following these links:

    Google: http://www.google.com/addurl/

    Yahoo: http://search.yahoo.com/info/submit.html

    MSN Live Search: http://search.msn.com.sg/docs/submit.aspx

    Ask: http://about.ask.com/en/docs/about/webmasters.shtml

Note: Establishing Pay-per-Click (or Sponsored Search) accounts with these engines usually results in faster indexing of your website - this is one of the practices Wpromote uses.

Other effective means of promoting websites include maintaining a blog, writing articles and submitting them to article directory sites, participating in forums or message boards relevant to your topic, and establishing link partnerships with other trusted, relevant websites.

For an online shopping mall specifically, you may want to consider adding your products to shopping-specific search engines. Some of the more established ones include:

    http://www.bizrate.com/

    http://www.dealtime.com

    http://www.froogle.com

    http://shopping.msn.com/

    http://www.mysimon.com/

    http://www.nextag.com/

    http://www.pricegrabber.com/

    http://shopping.yahoo.com/

Best of luck on your site promotion,

    Jason

  3. the key to good website promotion is not by submitting to a lot of search engine but to rank high in the big 3 search engine which are google, yahoo and msn. there is no benefit to submit to other search engine. i believe the services you mention is submitting to a lot of search engine and directories. but now google has put new algorithm to exclude paid links so it would a waste of money to use paid link directory services. actually there are so many things to say regarding website promotion so if you need more info you can check out my make extra money site and check out website building(seo) and marketing section.
  4. The best is probably a tough answer for anybody to be confident of, but I use them to manage my mid-sized PPC and SEO campaigns for my clothing-related e-commerce site, and Wpromote did a terrific job for me.

While of course things have become more competitive and expensive than they were several years ago, Wpromote's service and results on have been exemplary and I would recommend them to anyone looking for a search marketing partner. I have recommended them to several peers who I believe are launching campaigns with Wpromote as well.
